COUNTESS BATHORY IS ETERNAL
Montreals WildKoast Entertainment recently wrapped its first feature film, ETERNAL, on location in the Canadian city (with 12 days of shooting in Italy). Written, produced and directed by Wilhelm Liebenberg and Federico Sanchez, ETERNAL brings the legend of Countess Bathory (the real-life 16th-century Blood Countess who murdered over 650 young women and bathed in their blood) to the present day.
Conrad (CONFESSIONS OF A DANGEROUS MIND) Pla plays Raymond Pope, a detective who becomes embroiled with the mysterious and dangerous aristocrat Elizabeth Kane (Caroline Nn) and her servant Irina (WOLFGIRL/BLOOD MOONs Victoria Sanchez), who conduct gruesome, Bathory-esque rituals. Pope becomes irresistably attracted to Elizabeth, even as bodies begin to pile up around them. TVA Films will release the movie in Canada next March or April; no U.S. distribution has been announced. Check out the movies official website, which includes the rather striking first trailer, here.
