SCARY MOVIE 3 SKIPPING UK?
It seems to be a good news, bad news kind of a day over here in the UK. Only just after receiving word of a future theatrical run of the upcoming Dead End we now hear news that we’re unlikely to be seeing Scary Movie 3 in cinemas here in the UK, at least for quite a while.
Why you ask? Well it seems Scary Movie 3 has been completely cancelled from any theatrical release in the UK (for the time being) because of the Jackson spoof included in the movie and the current allegations regarding Michael Jackson and the child molestering case.
The hit comedy sequel, starring Anna Faris and Charlie Sheen, has brought in about $106.7 million in North America for Dimension Films since opening on October 24.
There was talk of it being released direct to video next year. But luckily a scooper by the name of Sophie, over at Coming Soon, wrote in with an update on the above news…
‘I was shocked to read that Scary Movie 3 was being cancelled from a UK release so I rang Buena Vista, who distributes the film here. They said it has been cancelled from its November release date, because of the allegations, and will be put on hold to sometime next year I think around April/May.’
