FUTURE OF THE RE-ANIMATOR?
It seems like only a few months ago (indeed it was well over a year though) that I interviewed Jeffrey Combs about his role in The Attic Expeditions, and he was still on the fence about what the status on Beyond Re-Animator was.
Things do move quickly sometimes, and now Beyond Re-Animator is set for release on December 30th. The Bloody Good Horror Page sat down with Jeff recently to discuss the cutting (or non-cutting as it were) of the film, but perhaps more interesting are his feelings on another…
‘Yeah I think definitely. I’ve already been sort of brainstorming with little pearls of ideas as to where it might go, and I know that probably Brian has too but, absolutely nothing that I have heard has occurred along those lines. I mean I guess that would depend upon how well this DVD does. It obviously isn’t going to be dependent upon it’s theatrical release because it didn’t have one (laughs)’
Those of you that have seen Beyond known how incredibly wide open it is for a sequel, I just hope that if they do make another, the managed to convince Stuart Gordon to work on it again. That would be the ultimate, final Re-Animator film.
