EXORCISM PLANNED IN IRAQ
As if things in Iraq werent scary enough lately, Variety reports that U.S. troops are currently preparing the site of THE EXORCISTs prologue as a tourist attraction. After an Army captain who was watching EXORCIST on a portable DVD player realized that he was guarding the temples in the city of Hatra where the opening scenes of William Friedkins horror classic were shot, member of the 101st Airborne Division began working to hire tour guides and open hotels for The EXORCIST Experience. Friedkin hopes to make a trip back to the site himself once the efforts are completed. Hopes are that the EXORCIST tour will help re-establish Iraq as a viable tourism destination in the coming years.
