HAMM’S GODSEND CAST
Robert De Niro, Greg Kinnear and Rebecca Romijn-Stamos are in final negotiations to star in Lions Gate Films’ horror-thriller Godsend for director or ‘The Hole’ director Nick Hamm.
Rebecca Romijn-Stamos spoke to SciFi Wire a while back and revealed a little about the film. ‘It’s about (Stamos and Kinnear) a couple who loses their 8-year-old son, and this doctor (De-Niro) offers to clone their son for them, and they do it.’ Apparently, there’s going to be very little drama in it. ‘It’s a horror movie. It’s creepy. I don’t want to give anything away, but [the clone] starts getting weird,’ she said. ‘It’s about human cloning, so it’s kind of timely and real, because it could actually happen, so it’s scary.’
Shooting will begin this month in Toronto and they’re shooting for a 2003 release. ‘Godsend’, was written by Mark Bomback, and is described as being it the vein of ‘Rosemary’s Baby’ and ‘The Others’.
With that kind of cast, and good director, the movie should turn out to be a top notch thriller.
