DETAILS OF DIABLO
The Latino-themed supernatural thriller ‘DIABLO’ begins principal photography on November 30th on location in Los Angeles, co-written and directed by Robert Napton for Dark Lantern Pictures (Hollywood, CA). ‘DIABLO’ will be filmed by Los Angelesbased Director of Photography Neal L. Fredericks (‘DREAMERS,’ ‘THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT,’ ‘KILLER ME’).
‘DIABLO’ will be Naptons and Fredericks first feature film collaboration. The film is being executive produced by Daniel Zirilli through a multi-picture production deal from Pop/Art Film Factory (Santa Monica, CA).
DIABLO is about two daring sisters who join forces with a veteran FBI man to battle supernatural forces in a remote California town called Diablo. The film is being described as X-FILES meets EL MARIACHI.
The films special make-up and zombie effects are being designed and executed by Screaming Mad George and his team from SMG Effects Inc. (Sun Valley, CA).
DIABLO will get a wide release on DVD and video in 2003.
