LOVECRAFT LIVES!
If there’s one author’s work that most horror fans can agree upon as being ground-breaking and intelligent, it’s that of H.P. Lovecraft. Mulitple movies, comics, and books have been made influenced by his many works, and his popularity only seems to grow as time passes. Too bad that wasn’t the case when he was still alive…
A British company called Tales of Orpheus has released a new spoken word CD entitled Three Horrifying Tales: From The Pen of H.P. Lovecraft 1890-19327. Read aloud by noted stage actor and university lecturer David Cade, these works of Lovecraft are meant to come alive in a way that they never have before. No cheap music or jump scares, just a masterful delivery of some of the most intelligent horror literature ever written.
The stories Included on the CD are ‘The Music of Erich Zann’, ‘The Cats of Ulthar’, and ‘The Unnameable’, with orchestral excerpts from Alfred Schnittke interspersed within. You can read a whole bunch of shinning reviews as well as order the CD at the official website of David Cade, which just so happens to be right here.
