MIKE EPPS ON SURVIVING THE GENRE
Mike Epps told SCI FI Wire that he plays a good guy in the upcoming horror sequel movie Resident Evil: Apocalypse. ‘It’s been so great, man,’ Epps said in an interview. ‘I get to hold some guns and shoot them without going to jail.’ Later he continued with this unthought out comment, ‘This is the first horror movie where a black man didn’t die,’ Epps joked. ‘Ain’t that amazing? Usually, we die in the first five minutes. We’re making a big move up in horror movies.’ Is it me, or didn’t Ken Foree survive at the end of Dawn of the Dead in 1978? Resident Evil: Apocalypse is slated for an October release.
