KNB TACKLES EXORCIST

KNB EFX Group is tackling the makeup duties on Paul Schrader?s EXORCIST: THE BEGINNING, which began shooting in Morocco this month. The shop?s Howard Berger is thrilled to be following in mentor Dick Smith?s legendary footsteps, and is also satisfied with the prequel?s screenplay. ?Paul Schrader has done a polish on the script [originally written by William Wisher and Caleb Carr] and made it even better,? Berger tells Fango.

The KNB boys have also taken over the creature FX reins from ADI on both Sci Fi Channel?s TREMORS: THE SERIES (pictured above) and the direct-to-video TREMORS 4, the latter due to lens next month. For the cable show, which begins airing in March on Sci Fi, KNB has created a new army of graboids, shriekers and ass-blasters, as well as several new critters. Ditto for the new movie, which TREMORS co-creator S.S. Wilson will direct. Series directors include Jack (THE HIDDEN) Sholder, Bradford (DARKMAN 2 & 3) May, P.J. (FROM DUSK TILL DAWN 3) Pesce, Michael (CSI) Shapiro and Chuck (DEAD ABOVE GROUND) Bowman. Guest stars Michael (HENRY) Rooker, Christopher (ADDAMS FAMILY) Lloyd and Nicholas (HELLRAISER: INFERNO) Turturro will join series regulars Michael Gross, Victor Browne and Marcia Strassman in battling the desert dwellers.

KNB will also be represented on screen next year in Quentin Tarantino?s KILL BILL and Joe Dante?s LOONEY TUNES. Look for a preview of TREMORS: THE SERIES in FANGORIA #220, on sale January 14.
