GROSS/QUINN – SAD NEWS
Variety reports that veteran exploitation distributor Jerry Gross was found deceased on November 20, some time after his death. He was 62 years old. As head of Cinemation, Gross released horror titles like the famous I DRINK YOUR BLOOD/I EAT YOUR SKIN double feature; he later formed The Jerry Gross Organization and unleashed such early-80s genre films as Lucio Fulcis ZOMBIE, Ulli Lommels THE BOOGEY MAN and BLOOD BEACH. His last thriller release was Lommels A TASTE OF SIN (a.k.a. OLIVIA) under the Ambassador Releasing banner in 1982.
In addition, Cinescape, citing a bulletin on NBC4, reports that actor Glenn Quinn was found dead December 3 of a possible drug overdose at the age of 32. Quinn, probably best known for his role as Mark in the long running sitcom Rosanne and best known to genre fans as the ill-fated Doyle from the first season of the WB series ANGEL, also starred in the 1992 slasher film DR. GIGGLES.
