KINGDOM SCARES UP SOLID RATINGS
Kingdom Hospital’s largest draw in its impressive Wednesday debut was a female audience. Weird fact to throw out there, I know, but it comes courtesy of the national Nielsen ratings (whose job it is to find out things like that).
Of that demographic its largest share was found in gals ages 25 to 54. The Stephen King-penned outlandish two-hour pilot aired last night at 9pm dominating its time slot with 14 million viewers. It’s competition? Just The OC, but still, compared to the last King-themed series The Diary of Ellen Rimbauer, Kingdom’s numbers are good for ABC.
Haven’t heard anything yet as to whether ABC plans to re-run the pilot, however, a new episode of Kingdom will air next Wednesday in its normal timeslot of 10-11pm and will continue that way until its conclusion. No doubt ABC’s got DVD plans in the works too, so stay tuned…
