MATINEE DEBUTS WITH NIGHTFALL

Variety reports that producer Warren (AMERICAN PIE) Zide has started up a new production outfit called Matinee Pictures and has purchased the vampire script NIGHTFALL to shoot later this year. Written by Michael Stokes, NIGHTFALL is about a couple of kidnappers whose abductee claims to be a bloodsucker queen. They're not convinced at first?but then her ghoulish followers come after them. Craig Perry (previously teamed with Zide in Zide/Perry Productions, which did FINAL DESTINATION among others) will produce NIGHTFALL with John Baldecchi.
