SATANS LITTLE HELPER TRIBECA DEBUT
Director Jeff (SQUIRM, BLUE SUNSHINE) Lieberman just revealed to Fango that SATANS LITTLE HELPER, his first genre feature in nearly two decades, will have an auspicious premiere at New Yorks Tribeca Film Festival. We finished SATANS LITTLE HELPER last Thursday, and someone snuck it to the Tribeca festival people,’ Lieberman tells us. ‘This is only their third year, and its unusual for them to play a horror movie, but they really flipped over it. They told us itll show on either a Friday or a Saturday; they call it the midnight screeningthats the program its inbut thats not literally the time they show it. Itll be prime timea 9 p.m. screening on one of those nights.
SATANS LITTLE HELPER is about a psychopathic killer (Joshua Annex) who dresses in a demon costume and wreaks havoc in a small town on Halloween night. A little boy, Douglas (Alex Brickel), obsessed with the titular video game decides to assist in his reign of terror, not aware at first that the violence is real. Amanda Plummer co-stars as Douglas mom and Katheryn (HELLRAISER: HELLWORLD) Winnick plays his college-age sister. Look for a SATANS set visit in the pages of Fango later this year.
