PATHFINDER TO TAKE GOZU TO U.S
Variety reports that Pathfinder Pictures has recently made a deal with the Japanese Klockworx Co. to release its films to U.S. theaters. First up will be a June opening for GOZU, perhaps the most bizarre film yet from director/provocateur Takashi Miike. The story starts out as a yakuza drama, with a young gangster assigned to kill his mentor and best friendbut when the older man dies in an accident instead and the younger one loses his body, he is launched into an odyssey of strange encounters and odd creatures, with a key scene late in the game thats twisted even by Miikes standards. Pathfinder will also bring Miikes AGITATOR and ANDROMEDA to American screens at a later date.
