HOPKINS TO HELM ME AGAIN
Stephen Hopkins (HBO’s The Life and Death of Peter Sellers) has committed to direct Me Again. Variety reports that the amnesia thriller has an original screenplay by Steven Moffat, best known for writing BBC sitcom Coupling.
Me Again is the story of a man who wakes up in a hotel room with no memory and a dead body in the room. He must figure out if he’s a hitman or the undercover cop assigned to take down the assassin. Hopkins described the film as a light romantic-comedy thriller.
At one time Bruce Willis and Diane Lane were attached to star with Dean Parisot directing, but Willis dropped out in April 2003 and pre-production stalled.
Hopkins said he hopes to start shooting the film in September in the U.K.
