THE FINAL FINAL DESTINATION?
New Line Cinema has signed up for ‘Final Destination 3,’ reuniting the studio with franchise creators Glen Morgan and James Wong.
Wong directed the original pic, which he wrote with Morgan and Jeffrey Red****, in 2000. It was the story of a young man who has a vision of his friends crashing on a plane. Although they listen to his advice to not board the flight, they start getting killed off one by one.
The second installment, which was directed by David R. Ellis and written by J. Mackye Gruber and Eric Bress, featured sole survivor Ali Larter in the Cassandra role; that time, she envisioned a highway pileup.
While this outing is expected to continue in a similar vein, co-writer Morgan and writer-director Wong have not revealed their newest take.
Morgan and Wong also teamed on the 2001 Jet Li pic ‘The One.’
