ANOTHER LEGEND PASSES
Over on the Horror Channel’s site they’re reporting that Max J. Rosenberg, one half of the producing team that formed Amicus Studios back in the 1960’s, passed away on Monday, June 14th after a brief illness. He was 90 years old.
Though most people equate British horror with Hammer Studios, Amicus still produced a significant amount of great horror during their time, including such films as Tales From The Crypt, The Beast Must Die, and City of the Dead. Rosenberg was the man behind the business side of the company, making sure it all stayed together while his producing partner Milton Subotsky handled the more public side of things.
