SCARES FOUND IN ABC?S LOST?
Variety reports that at a recent Television Critics Association press event in Los Angeles, creators J.J. (ALIAS) Abrams and Damon Lindelof addressed concerns over the fright content of their new ABC series LOST. The show at first sounds like a dramatic variation on SURVIVOR, focusing on 48 survivors of a plane crash stranded on a remote island, but buzz is building that the show has plenty of scary stuff to offer?not just the crash itself but, according to the trade, ?a man-eating monster.? The show, in fact, is said to be so intense that it may need to be trimmed before it is broadcast. ?There are going to be certain things that my guess is we?re going to have to adjust, not just for the timeslot, but to air at all,? the trade quoted Abrams as saying. The writer/producer, who also served those functions on the underrated thriller JOY RIDE, added that ABC had not asked for edits at that point. LOST?s ensemble cast includes Terry (THE STEPFATHER) O?Quinn, Matthew Fox, Harold (MATRIX sequels) Perrineau and Daniel Dae (ANGEL) Kim; we?ll let you know more about this one as we find it out.
