LONG ISLAND MALEVOLENCE
It might be every independent filmmaker’s dream to return home an accomplished artist. You’ve got a film in the can, it’s ready for the big screen, and you’re gonna make the folks proud…as long as it’s not porn.
Stevan Mena is about to return home with a sick and slick roll of celluloid that’s been garnering plenty of attention and those living in the area will see if it’s worth all the hype. His film, Malevolence, is going to debut at the Island 16 Theatre in Holtsville, Long Island on Friday, September 3rd. Considered the start of its ‘nationwide release,’ the screening arrives hot on the heels of Malevolence’s sold out Worcester, Massachusetts premiere – our very own Johnny Butane was in attendence, the man appeared to dig the film (review) which tells of three very unlucky thieves who cross paths with a grade-A nut job. Mena wore three hats on the production serving as the film’s director, writer producer.
Anchor Bay Entertainment is handling theatrical distribution.
