ANCHOR BAY’S GOT SOULS & FALLEN
According to Yahoo! Finance, IDT Entertainment, parent company of Anchor Bay Entertainment, has launched New Arc Entertainment, a production outfit devoted to live-action and animated features in the horror, thriller and action genres. Among New Arcs first round of projects are Jeremy Kastens Mexican zombie adventure ALL SOULS DAY, and is a co-production with Mindfire Entertainment, and THE FALLEN ONES, which was completed last month. That film is a supernatural thriller written and directed by Kevin (FROST: PORTRAIT OF A VAMPIRE) VanHook and starring Casper (PYTHON) Van Dien, Kristen (THE POOL) Miller, Robert Wagner, Geoffrey Lewis, Tom Bosley and Carel (ADDAMS FAMILY) Struycken. Van Dien plays an archaeologist who uncovers the mummified remains of a giant ancient being spawned by a fallen angel, and must battle another such being that has come to Earth to revive it. New Arcs movies will initially be released direct to DVD by Anchor Bay in the U.S., Canada and the UK. Other IDT projects in the wings include the animated Rob Zombie movie EL SUPERBEASTO and a six-film STAN LEE PRESENTSseries, of which the first two titles will be CHAMELEON and EL LOBO.
