CANADIAN HORROR: THE DOCUMENTARY
Fright fans of the Great White North will dig NIGHTMARE IN CANADA: CANADIAN HORROR ON FILM, the first-ever documentary devoted to Canuck chillers. Directed by Jennifer Adcock and produced by Ocean Entertainments Johanna Eliot, the one-hour special, which will air on the Canadian cable channels MPIX (October 22, 27 and 31) and Movie Central (October 2628 and 31), opens with the early 3-D creepfest THE MASK (1961) and closes with a look at this falls GINGER SNAPS BACK: THE BEGINNING. In between, NIGHTMARE IN CANADA examines homegrown slasher flicks (BLACK CHRISTMAS, TERROR TRAIN, MY BLOODY VALENTINE, etc.) and the works of David Cronenberg, as well as the more obscure CANNIBAL GIRLS, THE CORPSE EATERS, RITUALS and PIN.
