BEWARE THE BLOB ONCE AGAIN!
THE BLOB is forming once again for the movie screen. First seen as a 1958 movie that starred Steve McQueen as a frightened teenager trying to convince his elders and friends that a gelatinous outer space creature was devouring everything living in its path, the film was later remade in 1988 by Chuck Russell (ERASER) from a script by Frank Darabont (THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION). Now veteran film producer Scott Rudin (THE VILLAGE, SCHOOL OF ROCK, THE ROYAL TENENBAUMS) is remaking the monster movie for a second time together with Paramount Pictures.
Rudin wants to update the setting and make it the modern day. A screenwriter has yet to be hired to write the story.
