UK FEMALE WANTED FOR HOOD

Terri Hunter creative director of Melbourne's School of Performing Arts joins 35Central's 'HOOD' as co-casting director.
Winner of business excellence awards, and also a performer in her own right with credits as vast as theatre's Wogarama, West Side Story, Fiddler on the Roof, Man of Steel, and The Diary of Anne Frank. As well as television and film credits in: Trojan Warrior (333 Films), Under the Skin Series (SBS), and Stingers (Channel 9), Terri plays a big role in casting for film, television and fashion parades.
Determined to provide opportunities for untapped multicultural talent, Terri has embraced the project's unique Mediterranean look and feel. SaysTerri, 'The script is compelling, with some well drawn characters. Casting this picture's going to be tough, we're looking for people with a lot of courage, and a lot of commitment. Francisco's vision is not simple; there's a lot of emotional psychology going on. This picture could ultimately make some new careers'.
Auditions will take place over the next several months from the offices of the M.S.P.A. and 35Central.
'Terri's an incredible asset', says Producer Kyri Seguin, 'She's managed to harness a collection of young, multi-cultural talent over the last 12 years through her school and her agency. With 35Central scouring for talent in the south of Melbourne and Terri in the north, the possibilities are limitless'.
Up for grabs are a variety of meaty supporting roles for both males and females between the ages of 18 and 25. As well as the female lead that carries a majority of the thriller on her own.
Described as an urban fairytale nightmare, the project has sparked a lot of enthusiasm. Comments Terri, 'I was introduced to Francisco six weeks ago. I knew nothing of him or the project prior. Since then I've had people enquiring about the man and his project. Then I find out they're already talking about it in the U.S. and the U.K.'
'It's because of its independence', comments Producer Dallas McKenzie, 'Melbourne's independent filmmaking community is making headlines around the world at the moment. Locals who hear of things to come don't want to miss the boat, at any cost'.
