NEW ZEALAND KILLER SHEEP
According to The Hollywood Reporter, New Zealand writer/director Jonathan King is winning a lot of attention from buyers and backers at the current American Film Market for his horror/comedy project BLACK SHEEP. The yet-to-be-filmed movie is inspired by the fact that in Kings home country, sheep outnumber humans 10 to one, and explores what happens when a genetic experiment gone wrong turns the woolly critters into human-eating killers (perhaps seeking a bit of payback for that exploding sheep in Peter Jacksons NZ classic BAD TASTE). So far, only a promo reel for the film has been completed, but King and producer Philippa Campbell hope to have the feature fully financed and rolling soon.
