INTENSE RING COMPETITION
Ringworld has announced a unique contest being held by DreamWorks to celebrate the video release of THE RING next week. On Monday, March 3, fans are invited to go to the Los Angeles Equestrian Center (480 Riverside Drive in Burbank), where the event begins at 6:15 p.m. Out of those who turn out, 30 will be chosen to take part in the competition, in which each player will be lined up around a ring of light facing a TV monitor/VCR. At the center of the ring will be a pile of 20,000 blank videocassettes?with one containing the creepy video as seen in the movie. At the go signal, the contestants will have to grab the tapes and play them on their individual VCRs to discover the one ?evil? version?whoever does must then make a copy of it and throw the original down a well.
Sounds intense, eh? Well, the winner receives $10,000 and will participate in a subsequent press event with Daveigh Chase, who plays Samara in the movie. For more details, go here.
