SILENT HILL BEGINS PRE-PRODUCTION
Writer Roger Avary has updated his online journal with news on the video game adaptation of Silent Hill…
‘I’m sitting in the Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge, which is oddly identical to the Air France lounge, waiting for my flight to Toronto. Silent Hill is beginning preproduction, and I’m needed for some light script polishing on location. I must say, this film is crewing up quite nicely. There’s Andrew Mason producing, Production Designer Carol Spier recreating the look of the game, Wendy Partridge weaving costumes, and Patrick Tatopolous creating all of the denizens of Silent Hill. It seems as though Samuel Hadida is giving Christophe all of the tools he needs to make a proper adaptation. More updates daily (and hopefully pictures)…’
