DECOTEAU GATHERS NEW BROTHERHOOD
usy director David DeCoteau got in touch to report that hes continuing his most popular horror-film series. ‘I just got back from Vancouver, where I shot THE BROTHERHOOD IV: THE COMPLEX,’ he tells Fango. ‘The film stars April Amber Telek from the TV series THE IMMORTAL, along with Graham Kosokoski, Emrey Wright and Sebastian Gacki. The story is about a succubus that invades a military academy, and all hell breaks loose.’
Over at the website of the Insight Film & Video company, a more detailed plot setup is revealed: ‘Lights out at the prestigious Port Nathan Naval Academy. In the barracks, a young cadet named Charlie sneaks out and is met by another cadet, the enigmatic Victor Thanos. Victor is the leader of the academys elite secret society, the Black Skulls. Charlie is anxious to become a member of the secret society, and tonight is his initiationif he passes the final test. Victor and the other members of the Black SkullsNiles, Tristan, Brandon and Cooperall lead Charlie off the campus, to the tidal caves along the coastline. They disrobe Charlie and paint symbols on his body. They hand him a lit black candle. All you have to do is take this candle to the altar at the back of the cave, Victor tells him. When you return, youll be one of us.
‘Charlie nervously takes the candle and enters the cave. He walks through the shadows, hearing strange noises all around him. He makes it to the altar. Something large and frightening is waiting for him in the shadows. Charlie screams as this thing descends upon him and the candles flame blows out’
DeCoteau also gives us a quick update on his other recent movies: ‘KILLER BASH premieres on Here TV in the U.S. and PrideVision TV in Canada next spring. THE SISTERHOOD, WITCHES OF THE CARIBBEAN and RING OF DARKNESS come to DVD in the spring also.’
