SPIDERS DIRECTOR FLIES JOLLY ROGER
Gary Jones, the FX artist turned director of MOSQUITO and SPIDERS among others, recently completed shooting on JOLLY ROGER for The Asylum. Written by Jones and Jeff (HELLBLOCK 13) Miller, who describes the movie as ‘the great, low-budget alternative to PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN,’ JOLLY ROGER is about a pirate who comes back from the dead to terrorize a small coastal town. David Michael Latt, David Rimawi and Sherri Strain produced, with Rick Walker executive-producing; Kim Little (from The Asylums KILLERS and KILLERS 2) stars, with Rhett Giles (from the companys upcoming WAY OF THE VAMPIRE and UNRAVELED) in the murderous title role. The makeup FX were created by Richard Miranda and Chris Mendecino. Asylum has tentatively slated the movie for special-edition DVD release on July 26.
