Gellar's New Moves
Even though it was announced as having lost it?s title, it looks like the Sarah Michelle Gellar-starring film coming soon from Rogue Pictures is still going to be called Revolver. That is, if Variety is to be believed.
In an article in today?s issue about Gellar signing on to a new talent agency that is looking to help her pursue her career ambition to be a producer, it was mentioned that Gellar recently wrapped up work on Revolver, and will next be moving on to Richard Kelly?s Southland Tales.
Revolver will star Gellar as a tough business woman (suspension of disbelief...) who begins having vivid nightmares that lead her to investigate a 25-year old murder case. Asif Kapadia is set to direct.
Southland Tales is the brainchild of Kelly, and takes place in the middle of a heat wave on the Fourth of July in 2008 when the world is on the verge of collapse. It?s an ensemble piece set to star The Rock, Seann William Scott and Jason Lee along with Gellar, who will play a porn star. It is not, unfortunately, much of a horror movie.
No word in the article about movement on The Grudge 2 front, but that doesn?t mean it?s not happening.
