Raging Sharks

Nu Images' Raging Sharks

'You can swim, but you can't hide.'

That is without question one of the goofiest taglines ever used for a shark movie, and yet it' somehow fitting considering the shark movie in question is entitled Raging Sharks. Yes, you read that title correctly. They're not just sharks. They're Raging Sharks!

Raging Sharks is the newest man-eating shark movie from the same people that brought us Shark Zone and the Shark Attack franchise. Nu Image deserve some points for at least coming up with a certifiably silly, yet imaginative, premise for why the sharks are on a killing spree this time out.

'An object from outer space lands in the Bermuda Triangle, triggering an unusual phenomenon: a field of magnetic pulses that drives sharks in the area in a frenzy.'

It's Jaws meets 28 Days Later meets Bruno Mattei.

Raging Sharks stars rapidly rising B-movie actor Corin Nemec, who is fresh off his third round knockout of Mansquito. His tag team partner will be the lovely Vanessa Angel, who was last seen getting mutilated by the worst CGI sabertooth tiger ever put to film. Serving as their cornerman will be the living legend Corbin Bernsen, who, as most of you already know, can be enticed into appearing in your movie by simply driving by his house and tossing a script out the window with a thousand dollar bill stapled to it.

Now here's the shocking part. Raging Sharks will not be premiering on the Sci-Fi Channel. Hard to believe, huh? I have no doubt it will eventually end up on that network but will arrive on DVD first, so we won't have to worry about fast forwarding through all those pesky commercial breaks. Raging Sharks will be unleashed on July 26th, and as the tagline said, you can?t hide.
