Snaps Scribe Faces Reaper
Ginger Snaps screenwriter Karen Walton has been lingering off the horror radar since she gave us a new reason to love (and fear) lycanthropes five years back.
Since Snaps the Canadian scribe has been dabbling in television work taking on episodes of Queer As Folk and The Eleventh Hour. She bowed out of the subsequent Snaps sequels (Unleashed and Ginger Snaps Back) to make room for writers Megan Martin, Stephen Massicotte and Christina Ray.
It appears Walton’s going to get back into the dark swing of things with a new project for Columbia entitled Billy Grimm. According to the Hollywood trades Walton and co-writer/director Brad Peyton (Evelyn: The Cutest Evil Dead Girl are at work on the project which focuses on the first Reaper born with a heart.
Sounds like some more light-hearted fare, but with Snaps Walton gave us reason to be excited about her future efforts.
