Swimfan Star Among the Victims
Fangos Ian Spelling recently spoke to young actor Jesse Bradford, who may be most familiar to genre audiences as the star of SWIMFAN, and who talked about a horror film he shot last year called VICTIMS. Directed by Josef (THE THIRTEENTH FLOOR) Rusnak, the movie stars Bradford as one of a group of college students undergoing a fraternity initiation who suffer frightening visions from the past. We shot that in Europe, and I did it because I really wanted to play this character, Bradford tells Fango. Its about this very self-destructive young man and his last couple of days on Earth.
I dont know whats going to happen with the movie, Bradford continues. It could be shelved. I really dont know if its ever going to see the light of day. Its not a straightforward horror movie, but if it were distributed by a studio, thats how they might market it. It attempts to be more of a strange, psychological exploration of this kids messed-up mind. The reference that the director made a couple of times was JACOBS LADDER.
Also in the cast are Sienna (RESIDENT EVIL: APOCALYPSE) Guillory, Scot Williams, Emily Hamilton and Justin (MONSTER MAN) Urich; the script is by Hilde Eynikel, with a rewrite by Austin Hodgens. VICTIMS is the first production of Cameo FJ Entertainment, and we dont know any more about its distribution status than Bradford does. Once we find out more, well let you know.
