New Tooth Fairy Rolling in Canada
The TOOTH FAIRY script written by Daniel Farrands, which he wrote prior to the production of the similarly themed DARKNESS FALLS, was finally headed into production, and the movie is now shooting in Canada. The story centers on a 12-year-old girl named Pamela who goes on vacation with her family to a bed and breakfast, where a strange girl named Emma who lives next door tells her the story of the malevolent Tooth Fairy. Many years before, this evil being slaughtered a series of children to take their teeth, and now she has returned to come after Pamela and kill anyone who gets in her way.
Chuck Bowman is directing for producers Stephen J. Cannell and Mike Dubelko; Bowman and Cannell are TV veterans who have worked together on series like THE A-TEAM and THE GREATEST AMERICAN HERO as well as the more recent slasher feature DEAD ABOVE GROUND. Lochlyn (FREDDY VS. JASON) Munro stars as the owner of the bed and breakfast, with Nicole Muas Pamela and Chandra (WHITE NOISE) West as her mother; the cast also includes Karin (ALONE IN THE DARK) Konoval, Jianne Ballard, HALLOWEENs P.J. Soles and Jessie Hutch. Dave Pelletier, whose credits include BRAM STOKERS SHADOWBUILDER and BLOOD ANGELS, is the cinematographer, with John Healy creating the makeup FX.
