Malefique Horror Remake
Paramount Pictures has picked up John Pogue’s pitch for a remake of the French horror film MALEFIQUE. The story centers on an eclectic group of four inmates sharing one prison cell. When they find a book of occult spells, they try to use its shaky magic to escape, but things don’t go as planned.
The original film’s script, which was based on an idea by Frans Cognard, was written by Alexandre Charlot and Franck Magnier. Eric Valette directed.
Original Films’ Neal Moritz and Ori Marmur will produce the remake.
