Camp Daze Slasher Screening Across U.S
Scream Kings Productions has announced that its slasher homage CAMP DAZE will be have a series of pre-release screenings nationwide this summer and fall, with four dates already set. The movie will play in Cambridge, MA this Wednesday, July 13 at 9 p.m. at the Kendall Square Cinema (One Kendall Square); in Los Angeles Thursday, July 28 at 10 p.m. at the Sunset 5 (8000 Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood); in Columbus, OH Saturday, August 6 at 8:30 p.m. at the Studio 35 Cinema (3055 Indianola Avenue); and in New York Wednesday, October 26 at 8 p.m. as part of the New Filmmakers series at Anthology Film Archives (32 Second Avenue).
CAMP DAZE, directed by Alex Pucci from a script by Draven Gonzalez and produced by Pete Jacelone, is set at Camp Hiawatha, which has been frozen in time since 1981 with all the attendant fashions and music. A group of modern teenagers stumble upon the site and wind up experiencing another early-80s summer-camp staple: a series of gruesome murders. Kyle Lupo, Anika McFall, Joanna Suhl, Jon Fleming and Eric McIntire star; the FX were created by Matt Corrigan.
