MASTERS OF HORROR series creator Mick Garris tells Fango that veteran director Roger Corman has had to remove himself from shooting one of the 13 MASTERS shows due to personal reasons. Corman has been replaced by Lucky McKee, who will be directing a script called SICK GIRL by Sean (HALLOWEEN: RESURRECTION) Hood. Meanwhile, McKee’s MAY follow-up, THE WOODS, once slotted for a September bow from the defunct United Artists, remains in limbo. Screen Gems, part of Sony (which gobbled up UA and parent company MGM), now has theatrical dibs on THE WOODS, but the film is nowhere on the company’s release slate. In other MASTERS news, the series will be getting some theatrical exposure, mostly likely overseas, where segments may be paired up.
