DEATH WALKS THE STREETS, the supernatural gang movie is moving forward as both a movie and a comic book. The film’s co-writer/director, James Zahn, shared some news and art with Fango.
“The first design is a ‘Union Crest’ for a Mechanics Union that will be shown in the film—‘Local 666,’ ” Zahn tells Fango. “The crest was designed for us by Gregory Hill, the art director for LAW & ORDER who is currently working on THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA with Meryl Streep. The second piece is concept art for the upcoming DEATH WALKS THE STREETS comic book. The version you see here is from a flyer that will debut at Wizard World this weekend in Chicago. We’re doing a four-issue miniseries as a prequel to the film, working together with a team of artists from White Eye Productions.
“Back on the film front, we’ve moved principal photography to fall, and almost have the cast wrapped up,” Zahn continues. “Our special effects and stunt teams are falling into place, we have our composer on board and things are shifting into high gear.” For more on the movie, see www.deathwalksthestreets.com.
