No, we’re not talking about the Cookie Monster’s sister—we mean that THE GINGERDEAD MAN, which promises to be the most berserk movie yet from B-veteran Charles Band, has been assigned a DVD release date of November 24 by Wizard Entertainment. Specifics haven’t been announced, but we’re really seriously hoping for a commentary by actor Gary Busey about the career trajectory that has led him from an Oscar nomination to voicing a cookie character come to murderous life. Band directed from a script by Domonic (CRITTERS) Muir, based on a story by William (MADHOUSE) Butler, who was once going to direct the project (the poster art is from that incarnation). You can check out a trailer for the movie at the Wizard site linked above, and start salivating! The site also notes that principal photography has been completed on a movie called CUTTER’S CLUB, starring CANDYMAN’s Tony Todd.
Meanwhile, Band has announced at his own blog the schedule for his Full Moon Horror Roadshow, a series of stage presentations in which he’ll promote his current and upcoming releases, reveal tricks of the trade and give away prizes:
