Fango posted a photo from the new horror movie SHAPESHIFTER without having any info about the film or who was behind it. Now Jason Webster, the crewmember who forwarded that shot, has informed us that it’s one of two features currently being filmed by The Asylum—the other being DEAD MEN WALKING.
Both films are set in prison—DEAD MEN, directed by Peter Mervis, is about guards and inmates battling zombies behind bars, while SHAPESHIFTER, with Gregory Lemkin at the helm, is about a maximum security inmate who’s also a transforming creature. Both movies rolled July 18, and may be hitting DVD by the end of the year. Asylum has a whole bunch of other horror films in development, including CROAK (about frog monsters), H.P. LOVECRAFT’S DUNWICH HORROR and THE FOUKE MONSTER: THE TRUTH OF BOGGY CREEK; you can see the lineup by going to the company’s production page.
For over 20 years the Horror Asylum has continued to bring you the very best genre news, reviews, giveaways and interviews in the horror world.
