You’ve been hearing about it for years and now you’ll finally get to see Kiyoshi Kurosawa’s Pulse (Kairo) in theaters this November thanks to Magnolia Pictures.
To prepare for the release Magnolia has launched the official website for the film, which also has the first US trailer for the film. Pulse, along with Ringu helped propel Asian horror movies into the US film market. After one of their friends commits suicide, strange things begin happening to a group of young Tokyo residents. One of them sees visions of his dead friend in the shadows on the wall, while another’s computer keeps showing strange, ghostly images. Is their friend trying to contact them from beyond the grave, or is there something much more sinister going on?
