A source at Fox Searchlight gave Fango the exclusive scoop that its remake of THE HILLS HAVE EYES will be released nationwide March 10, 2006.
The update of Wes Craven’s classic, about a family of stranded vacationers terrorized by a savage inbred clan in the Southwest desert, is currently shooting in Morocco for HIGH TENSION director Alexandre Aja from a script he wrote with Gregory Levasseur, with Craven, Marianne Maddalena and Peter Locke producing. The cast is headed by Dan Byrd, Emilie de Ravin, Ted Levine and Kathleen Quinlan.
In addition, Fango has learned that Rogue Pictures has moved CRY_WOLF’s release up a week, to September 16, placing it opposite Dimension’s VENOM (formerly THE REAPER).
The campus-slasher chiller is the cover story in Fango #246, on sale this month; its official website can be found here.
