Bernard Rose, who directed one of the most terrifying movies of all time, Candyman, is returning to horror, according to Variety.
Rose has been signed on to direct Amusement for New Line Cinema, which was written by new genre writer Jake Wade Wall. Wall’s script centers on a traumatized woman who’s questioned by a cop and a psychiatrist about three stories – involving a clown, a hotel and a convoy – that involve her and two of her female friends from childhood. Wall has also written the scripts for remakes of The Hitcher and When a Stranger Calls.
