After Dread Central helped get the word out about the Flashback HorrorFest, thry got a few e-mails from readers with word on another horror marathon going on in Chicago in October, specifically the 15th to the 16th.
The Music Box Massacre is a 24 hour marathon being held at the Music Box Theater in Chicago. Not the most comfortable of theaters; the original Nosferatu with organ accompaniment, Kyoshi Kurosawa’s Pulse, The Creature from the Black Lagoon in 3-D, the indie film Local Chills, the British classic Death Line (aka Raw Meat) with director Gary Sherman attending, and George Romero’s The Crazies. And that’s just the lineup for Saturday!
Aftermath will be making its U.S. theatrical debut on Sunday the 16th, followed by Scanners, Return of the Living Dead, Demons, 2000 Maniacs, The Howling, and Near Dark.
