Annette Ashlie of Fastigium Films sent over the gruesome photos above from THE SECRET LIFE OF SARAH SHELDON, which she wrote, directed and produced through the Fastigium Films company. (“Fastigium” is a medical term meaning “the highest point of a fever or disease; the period of maximum severity of an infection; climax.”) Ashlie also stars as the title character, a former medical school student who was expelled for improper use of human cadavers and now conducts bizarre experiments in her apartment. Her combined obsessions with overpopulation and society’s collapsing morals lead her to create a sterilization device that has very unpleasant results. (Among other things, a “penis monster” is involved.) Max Phyo, Patricia McCollim, Brenda Lamberty, Ryan Williams, Dana Fares, Lyndsay Brill and Marten Borg co-star; the movie is currently in postproduction, with Ashlie planning to have it completed and ready for the festival circuit next spring.
