KNB sent us these gruesome pix from the MASTERS OF HORRORS episode HAECKEL’S TALE, directed by John (HENRY) McNaughton and set to debut on Showtime January 27. Adapted by series creator Mick Garris from the Clive Barker DARK DELICACIES short story, HAECKEL’S TALE stars Derek Cecil (of the TV series PUSH, NEVADA and PASADENA) and Coen Brothers regular Jon (BARTON FINK) Polito, whose genre turns include THE CROW, MIMIC 2, HIGHLANDER and TALE OF THE MUMMY, as well as the Sci Fi Channel’s short-lived THE CHRONICLE. The official Showtime HAECKEL’S TALE synopsis reads: “When Ernest Haeckel seeks shelter from the wilderness in a secluded cabin in the New England countryside, he is given one explicit instruction: No matter what he hears, he cannot go outside. As the cries of an unseen baby intermix with horrifying guttural moans, Haeckel disobeys his host and becomes embroiled in an orgy of the undead. Based on Clive Barker’s short story, HAECKEL’S TALE is a sexually charged campfire story with a terrifying twist.”
