MoDean Productions informed Fango that production begins in two weeks on its black-comic fright feature GAY BED & BREAKFAST OF TERROR. Written, directed and executive-produced by Jaymes Thompson and produced by Sean Abley, the movie will lens in Arizona and centers on the title establishment, run by the twisted mother-and-daughter team of Helen and Luella. The duo lure a series of gay and lesbian guests to their deaths until what MoDean promises is a “shocking twist ending, which will certainly leave the gay, and straight, audience talking long after the film is over.” Thompson’s credits include the acclaimed shorts CAKE and FRUITCAKE, while Abley has worked on numerous reality shows and scripted episodes of kids’ series like SO WEIRD. Tom Devlin of 1313 FX, whose credits include CLUB DREAD and the Fango Video release JOSHUA, is in charge of special makeup. Look for more on this gruesome and politically charged project soon. According to MoDean’s site, the company is also developing the B-horror/camp homage TRASHY PORN STARS ON THE ISLAND OF DEATH!
