Bloodrayne, notorious director Uwe Boll’s latest entry in his underwhelming filmography, will be released on May 23rd from Visual Entertainment, according to Davis DVD. Bent on ridding the world of the fanged species, half-human/half-nosferatu Rayne (Kristanna Loken) takes up the mantle of vampire slayer against her powerful, bloodsucking father (Ben Kingsley) for the rape of her mother that resulted in her conception. Michael Madsen, Michelle Rodriguez, Billy Zane, Meat Loaf, and Udo Kier also star. The two-disc set, available in separate theatrical and unrated director’s cuts, will feature a 2.35:1 anamorphic transfer and Dolby Digital 5.1 audio. Bonus materials are TBA, but look for the complete PC game to be included. Retail is $26.99.
