Good news for those of us that have been waiting not-so-patiently for the ABC mini-series Desperation; Mick Garris himself has informed the folks over at Lilja’s Library that Desperation has been moved up to a May 23rd start date. Apparently the network has been getting “wonderful” response to the show and determined that the 23rd is a stronger date for its debut. The show was originally set to air on May 18th; check out ABC’s page for it right here for more!
Finally, the previously announced series of Dark Tower comics, which will focus on the trials and tribulations of a young Roland Deschain, has officially signed prolific author Peter David to write the first seven issues. David is no stranger to comics, having penned some defining moments in The Incredible Hulk and co-creating Spider Man 2099 among others.
Check out the full press release here for the details, but don’t get too excited yet; the first Dark Tower comic isn’t set to hit until February of 2007.
