Director Lucky (MAY) McKee’s long-awaited new feature THE WOODS will finally see its world premiere at this month’s Amsterdam Fantastic Film Festival, screening Monday, April 24 at 8:15 p.m. The film, scripted by David Ross, is about mysterous happenings in and around an all-girls private school, and stars Agnes (VENOM) Bruckner, Patricia (WENDIGO) Clarkson and scream fave Bruce Campbell. Domestic distribution for the MGM orphan still has yet to be nailed down; McKee’s MASTERS OF HORROR episode SICK GIRL will also be shown at the fest.
Other movies showing at the Amsterdam event, which runs April 19-26, include the new HILLS HAVE EYES, 2001 MANIACS, SLITHER, FRAGILE, BEOWULF & GRENDEL, Bernard Rose’s SNUFF-MOVIE, AN AMERICAN HAUNTING, EVIL ALIENS, WOLF CREEK, COOKERS, THE ROOST, ZOMBIE HONEYMOON, REEKER and SHADOW: DEAD RIOT, penned by Fango’s own Michael Gingold.
