Linnea Quigley fans, or fans of movies about gutmunching in general, have been awaiting a decent release of 1981's Donít Go Near the Park for years, and on Tuesday the 25th, Dark Sky Films will fulfill those dreams. If youíre in or around L.A., however, those dreams will be fulfilled in a much cooler way.
As part of the ongoing Grindhouse Film Festival, Donít Go Near the Park will be playing a double bill with 1980ís House on the Edge of the Park, which stars Last House on the Left lead David Hess. Park will be introíd by director Lawrence David Foldes and star Tamara Taylor, and Hess himself is tentatively scheduled to appear to talk up House. Both will, of course, be 35mm prints.
The Grindhouse Film Festival goes down at the New Beverly Cinema in Los Angeles, more info is here. Donít Go Near the Park will play first, starting up at 7:30pm. Donít miss it!
