Linnea Quigley fans, or fans of movies about gutmunching in general, have been awaiting a decent release of 1981’s Don’t Go Near the Park for years, and on Tuesday the 25th, Dark Sky Films will fulfill those dreams. If you’re in or around L.A., however, those dreams will be fulfilled in a much cooler way.
As part of the ongoing Grindhouse Film Festival, Don’t Go Near the Park will be playing a double bill with 1980’s House on the Edge of the Park, which stars Last House on the Left lead David Hess. Park will be intro’d by director Lawrence David Foldes and star Tamara Taylor, and Hess himself is tentatively scheduled to appear to talk up House. Both will, of course, be 35mm prints.
The Grindhouse Film Festival goes down at the New Beverly Cinema in Los Angeles, more info is here. Don’t Go Near the Park will play first, starting up at 7:30pm. Don’t miss it!
